Middle Monkey

Jeremy has really done it this time.  He hurt his wrist during a tackle in his last game of this season.  Would complain a little ocassionally that it was a little tender, but kept assuring me that it was fine.  He's continued working out pretty hard in the weight room at school during his Athletics period.  Finally, the past couple of days he's been complaining a little harder.  Tried calling to get him into WHMC for a couple days and finally broke down and asked for whatever they had available, wherever they had it available.  I took him to BAMC last night and the news was not good.

BROKEN!

We have to go back on Tuesday to see an Orthopedic Surgeon.  I asked him if he learned a lesson about not putting off the doctor if you have an injury because it will only get worse.  He said, "Kinda".  Silly boys.



Ireland??

I remember the day I first heard of this girl.  As I pick Jeremy up from school he asks me, "Mom, can I go to Ireland?"  Well, that's what I heard anyway.  I said, "I guess some day you could."  "No, I meant I wanted to go today".  "There's no way you are going to Ireland today,  you don't even have a passport."

My son looked at me like I was silly.  Gave me the biggest grin and said, "Mom, Irelyn...is my girlfriend.  I wanted to go to her house."  oh.  oh.  oHHHHH....Makes sense.  Irelyn?  Very pretty name.

I've since met this lovely young lady, her younger siblings and her AWESOME Mom.  Glad to have my son spend time with them.

These two are the cutest thing.  Young love is so sweet.  They will be going to different schools this year.  Since Cody is a Senior he will be staying at Stevens.  Shawnee is a Junior so she will be going to the brand new school in our district.  We'll have to see if a couple miles keep these two apart.  It's looking doubtful.  They are pretty sweet on each other.

I have to honestly say, Cody is the coolest teenager I have ever met.  He's so witty and smart.  Clever and sarcastic.  It's no wonder Shawnee fell for his charm.  As for lil Miss Shawnee, she is the cutest, sweetest thing.  It's eerie how much she and I have in common.  It freaks Cody out a bit sometimes.

A new start

Here I go joining the Blog-o-sphere. I have a couple of friends whose blogs I would check on regularly and I've always loved writing so, this seemed a logical step.

When creating this blog, I was having the hardest time coming up with a name. It seems I can never come up with something clever on the spot. I've had several nicknames in my life. One of my high school friend's Mom called me Amy Lou. (Not my middle name, but cute). My Aunt calls me Amy'rie. (I love that one) My boys call me Mama. (Most times the favorite one to hear), but my all time favorite and one that warms my heart every time, is what my Daddy always calls me.....AmyB. And so it shall be.
